FIELD NOTES

planning guides, notes of inspiration, and the occasional cosmic tangent

Part planning guide, part love letter. Field Notes is where I write for the couples I photograph and the ones still dreaming it up: how to actually pull off an elopement, essays on love and wild places, and whatever's on my mind from the field. I'm Kyle, a lit-teacher-turned-photographer who never stopped reading.

full lore drop this way ⟢

I'm Kyle: your wilderness-tested, city-refined, omnivagant, ride-or-die lovergirl, and a photographer with an MA in literature who finds the metaphors running through your story and authors a celebration of your love around them.

I do this work because I love people, I love story, and I believe in the messy, stars-in-your-eyes kind of love we choose, again and again. Fifteen years behind the lens and a soul wired for whimsy, adventure, and tenderness mean I bring equal parts presence and planning, film and feeling, ritual and roadmap. I'll learn your lore, build the whole experience around what matters most, and show up with reverence (and snacks) while you step into something wholly yours.

FOR ALL THE CHAPTERS THAT FOLLOW

Most of my couples find they don't want to part ways once they've gotten their photos. So if you ever want to pick the thread back up, I'm here for the chapters that follow: the anniversary, the dog, the first kid, the ordinary mornings you'll yearn for.
Same eye, same presence, your story already known.
